Single-Stream Recycling

Single-stream recycling allows residents to place all single-stream recyclable materials loose into the blue, Township-issued cart.  Single-stream recycling will be collected once a week on the same day as household garbage, on a designated day based on our zone schedule.  Carts must be at the curb before 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection but not before 6 p.m. the evening before collection.

Do not place plastic bags in the blue cart.  Only that material which is in the cart will be collected.  Drivers will not exit the vehicles to collect loose bags or boxes.  Cardboard boxes may not be used as containers for any type of garbage, rubbish, trash or debris, including yard and/or vegetative waste.

*Plastic bottles include all items with recycling numbers 1-7.  These are bottles/containers used for milk, water, soda, laundry detergent, shampoo, hair conditioner.

The following items are NOT recyclable, and should be placed in the green garbage cart:

Glass - dishes, drinking glasses, ceramics, mirrors, light bulbs, ovenware (Pyrex) windows and clay pots
Aluminum - pie plates, kitchen pots and pans, foil and baking pans
Tin - paint cans, aerosol cans, kitchen pots and pans
