General Information
The Division of Housing, Code Enforcement and Clean Communities is responsible for enforcing all ordinances within the Township and has the responsibility of ensuring that all local, County and State ordinances and regulations are observed and adhered to. The Township of Ocean ordinances encompass such areas as building, recycling, zoning and property maintenance issues. The Township has also adopted and enforces the ICC Property Maintenance Code with certain adjustments. These codes are construed to ensure public health, safety and welfare of the residents and visitors of the Township. Our goal is to attain compliance with Township ordinances regarding property maintenance, enforcement and abatement to improve the quality of life for the entire Township.
